As President of the NewsGuild of New York, I ensured that our union obtained national and international TV, print, and digital news coverage for defending journalism, including The New York Times walkout, Reuter’s contract dispute, and two features on the NewsGuild by following best practices. Through my presidential term, the Guild’s social media and online presence increased dramatically, allowing for easy, fast communication between members and staff.
